Speedway Robbery

Parkersburg Police responded to an armed robbery at 0400 hours at the Speedway, 1400 7th Street. Officers arrived on scene within a minute of the request from the business. Once on scene, officers spoke to the employee who advised that the suspect had fled on foot in an easterly direction. The clerk gave a detailed description of the robbery, stating that the suspect had entered the store and remained in one location once inside. The suspect waited for the clerk to return to the cash register, once at the register, the suspect removed a black colored pistol and pointed the weapon at the clerk. The suspect demanded the clerk to remove  cash from the register. The clerk complied with the suspect, and the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of currency. Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians arrived and processed the scene for potential evidence to be used for identification and prosecution. Detectives continue to investigate this case at the time of this release and will continue until all leads are exhausted.

Approximately 5’06” to 5”09” in height
Approximately 130 – 160 lbs.
