SEARCH WARRANT LEADS TO ARREST
On Friday, January 3, the Parkersburg Police Department and the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force coordinated an investigation of stolen property and illicit drug possession and distribution.
Agents, Detectives, and SWAT members executed a search warrant at 606 Division Street, Parkersburg at approximately 1120 hours. Parkersburg SWAT entered the single-family residence and located a male suspect along with his two young children and his juvenile sister. The entry was made without incident or injury to those persons or the officers.
Agents and Detectives searched the home and garage and located stolen items such as expensive name-brand bicycles and a bulletproof vest. Investigators are attempting to identify if any other stolen contraband can be identified to an owner. Detectives are continuing to review the property to identify whether or not it has been reported stolen.
Agents with the task force located methamphetamine, U.S. currency, packaging material, and handguns that all belonged to the suspect, Frank A. Carper, 29.
Carper was processed at the Parkersburg Police Department after being arrested for possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, Transfer/Receive Stolen Property. Additional charges are pending at this time as the investigation continues.
Carper was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court following his booking. Carper is being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $50,000.00 bond.
