Re: Numerous Shots Fired on Lynn Street
Reference #: 12-PR-0190
This morning at approximately 2:15 a.m., numerous officers responded to the 1100 block of Lynn Street in reference to shots being fired.
Upon arrival, officers found 1122 Lynn Street riddled with bullet holes, and approximately 24 spent bullet casings from a 7.62×39 mm assault rifle. According to the landlord, the tenants of 1122 Lynn Street had recently moved out, with the residence being vacant at the time of the shooting. Several items were damaged by bullets, including a water line that was struck after a round apparently penetrated three (3) walls before striking the pipe.
Witnesses were able to provide a vehicle description, with one witness stating she saw “fire” coming out the barrel of a weapon from the suspect vehicle.
Multiple detectives and the Evidence Technician are currently conducting their investigation into the matter with at least two (2) persons of interest at this time.
