A multi-jurisdictional criminal investigation that initiated several months ago is coming to an end with the execution of search and arrest warrants on Wednesday, April 23. The investigation was started by the Major Crimes Task Force in Washington County, Ohio. The investigators discovered that the case would also encompass Parkersburg and surrounding areas. The Parkersburg Police Department and the Wood County Sheriff’s Office assigned members of the ACE Task Force to assist the MCTF to investigate criminal matters that were taking place in Wood County.
The investigation revealed several individuals in the organization that were involved in illegal acts to include drug trafficking. Detectives made several controlled buys of large amounts of cocaine and marijuana in Parkersburg and Washington County.
These controlled buys and other investigative techniques allowed the detectives to obtain arrest and search warrants. The following residences and one business was searched by law enforcement in Parkersburg, Vienna, and Mineral Wells.
322 5th Street Parkersburg – The 5th Street Pub, operated by Brent J. Sidwell was searched.
703 21st Street Vienna – residence of Timothy A. Fields. Fields was not present at the time of search.
2707 Polk Drive Parkersburg was searched were detectives located several bags of marijuana along with components used to facilitate the distribution of narcotics and U.S. Currency.
Detectives arrested Jeffery J. Brown for one felony count of Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver. Brown was processed and arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court. The bond for Brown was set at $50,000.00. Brown did not post the required bond.
2503 ½ Lincoln Avenue was searched by Detectives who located large amount of marijuana, an amount of cocaine, and cash. At the time of the search, the occupants were not present. The Parkersburg Police have an outstanding felony warrant for Christopher Paul Johnson (Photo Attached). The warrant issued is for Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance. Johnson will also face additional criminal charges as a result of the search of his residence.
217 Fox Run Drive, Mineral Wells – Detectives searched this residence locating several grams of suspected cocaine and a significant amount of currency. As a result of the search, Dustin K. Jarvis was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. He was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court, where a bond of $65,0000.00 was set. Jarvis is free on bond at this time.
Investigators also recovered additional evidence that was concealed in a storage unit in Wood County. The discovery was made as a result of the continuing investigation. The investigators involved have spent several hours interviewing many individuals and will continue to do so until this case is closed. The search revealed a substantial find of suspected cocaine. The total weight at this time is undetermined, but is significant.
This investigation will create noticeable disruptions in the cocaine and marijuana distribution trade in this area. The investigators involved will continue to follow up any information gleaned from the investigation and anything which the public will send our way.

Those individuals’ that have been arrested in Washington County, Ohio will also face criminal charges in West Virginia. The arrest warrants will be executed at a time when appropriate.
