Last night at approximately 8:30 p.m., numerous officers responded to the 3600 block of Packard Street in reference to a person being intentionally run over by a vehicle and possible shots fired.
Officers observed the suspect vehicle near Packard Street and 42nd Street and initiated a high-risk traffic stop. Officers removed the driver Brent Michael Miller without incident, placing him in custody pending interviews with involved parties.
After speaking to witnesses and the victim, officers were able to determine that Miller allegedly used his 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix to intentionally strike a 23 year-old male during an altercation. Officers also determined that no weapons were involved in the altercation.
The victim was transported to CCMC by ambulance for an arm injury. His condition is unknown.
Miller was charged with felony malicious wounding and taken to Wood County Magistrate Court for arraignment. He was released on $10,000.00 bond.
