Re: Waldron Arrested on Drug Charges
Reference #: 12-PR-0138
Parkersburg police officers arrested Timothy Michael Waldron on east 7th Street yesterday on outstanding felony warrants from an alleged incident that took place on 6-26-12.
On 6-26-12 at approximately 11:00 p.m., Officer J.D. Pinkerton attempted to stop a 1998 Toyota Camry in the 1000 block of Tefft Street for a traffic violation. Once emergency lights and siren were activated, the driver allegedly refused to stop the vehicle and sped off through a residential area. At one point during the pursuit, the driver allegedly turned off his lights and continued fleeing at speeds estimated to reach up to 55 mph, also going through at least three (3) intersections without stopping.
The driver abandoned the vehicle in an alley near the 1100 block of Lynn Street and fled on foot. Officers were unable to capture the driver, but did locate a wallet, identification and a cell phone allegedly belonging to Waldron inside the vehicle. A further search of the vehicle allegedly revealed over 200 grams of suspected marijuana.
Waldron was processed at headquarters yesterday on charges of fleeing in a vehicle and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. He was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court and released on a $15,000.00 bond.
Waldron was out on parole related to a drug conviction at the time of the alleged incident and subsequent arrest.
